The National Council of Commercial Plant Breeders (NCCPB) has established an Award for scientists who have made significant contributions to plant science through basic, applied, or developmental research in genetics and plant breeding during their careers in the private sector. It is administered through the Crop Science Society of America (CSSA).

The Award consists of a certificate, plaque and $1,500 honorarium and is presented at the CSSA Annual Meeting.

Eligibility

1. Nominators are not required to be members of CSSA
2. Nominees are expected to be active members of CSSA or are to be affiliated with companies that are members of the NCCPB.
3. Nominees must be living at the time their nominations are submitted.
4. Research teams are not eligible to be nominated for this award.
